Healthy Smoothie Bowl - with Beetroot and blueberry or banana

Hello everyone. I thought of sharing a healthy breakfast idea with you this time. We concentrate so much on tasty stuff that sometimes we fail to pay proper attention of what we are feeding our body and how it is progressing until we realize it after years on the after effects. It is a must to include healthy supplies in daily intake and balance a good nutritious diet. One among the delicious and healthy meal idea is a smoothie. All we have to do is just blend and can have it on a go which is perfect for those busy mornings.
Derived from that, the recent trendsetters are the smoothie bowls which is the smoothie poured into a bowl and topped with various things you can find in your pantry. It looks gorgeous, fibre packed and can even make picky eaters like me hog on it.
This specific smoothie bowl is a combo blend of beetroot and blueberries. You can make use of bananas instead of blueberries but i did not do that since I am not fond of bananas. What? really, bananas? yes, I know. I can be that weird. But if you are, then please freeze the bananas overnight or atleast 1 hour before you blend them in. Also, feel free to add any protein or health mix powder here.
Also, a note for all vegans out there, you can eliminate the milk and this can be a complete plant - based meal.

Ingredients:
For smoothie:
1. Beetroot - 1
2. Blueberries - 1/2 cup (or 1 frozen banana)
4. milk - 1/4 cup
5. Protein powder or health mix - 1.5 tbsp (optional)
For Toppings:
1. Muesli or oatmeal - 1.5 tbsp.
2. Banana - 1/2 (sliced)
3. Blueberries - 1/4 cup
3. Almonds - 2 tbsp (silvered)
4. Chia Seeds - 2 tbsp
5. Coconut - 2 tbsp (shredded)
Instructions:
1. Take the beetroot, blueberries or bananas, protein powder and blend them well.

2. Reserve half of the smoothie and pour it the rest in to a bowl. Take the reserved portion and mix it with the milk and pour it lightly over the smoothie which is in the bowl. Using a fork, I made swirls by moving it inwards which gives a nice look.

3. Start boarding on the toppings which you have and line them up next to one another. And your smoothie bowl is ready. I like to chill them for atleast 10 minutes and then scoop it in.

This is one of the best way to introduce healthy stuff in your regular diet. In the beginning, try to take it once a week and gradually more number of times in a week. It is fulfilling and better than the carbs filled breakfast.
